4 Super Useful Productivity Tools For Chrome and Gmail

I thought this was a self care site? It is! But this self care blog knows that our lives require us to work, pay our bills, pay our mortgage, and support our children. Sometimes, our own self care suffers at the end of the day.

So if we increase our productivity, we have more time to cherish the moments with our family, and our own happiness increases in return.

Here are 4 practical, super useful tips to help you increase your productivity.

1) BOOMERANG

Boomerang allows the user to send emails on future dates and remind others to respond by resending the email! The productivity increases at least 50% because you can write emails for specific dates and not having to write one at an inconvenient time. The boomerang extension also analyzes your word choices to make sure you maximize user responses.

I’ve used this extension (which is free and by no means I’m NOT paid for this) for planning our wedding and it worked wonderfully. If you see the picture below, you’ll notice a “send later” option and designate when it should be sent out, and if you want it to be sent AGAIN.

You can also “Pause” your inbox which is really nice when your away on vacation or need a little moment’s break. An auto responder email is also available to let others know you’re away. If you’re expecting an email from someone important, you can add them to the exception list easily.

You can also get the app for your Iphone or Android as well.

2) Stay Focused.

If you have a desk job, you an easily be pulled by social media, Reddit, and YouTube to take your attention away. This extension helps give you a limit on your time spent on websites that diminish your productivity.

It does feel like a child lock app but in a lot of ways. If you know yourself and need something to smack your hand when you are reaching for the cookie jar (in this case social media). I have found this to be helpful on my least productive days when I really want to do anything but work.

3) Wunderlist.

An extension that allows people to draft lists and to-dos for everyone to share, edit, and create timelines. If you’re a list person, this is for you. This was especially useful for us for grocery items to add, movies to watch, thing to do around the house so everyone was on the same page.

Similarly, you can share it with anyone if you are working a project that requires people to have a role and responsibility all on one simple place. Yes you could use your messenger or another document, but this really helps clean it up and lists specifically designated on one site.

4) One Click Extensions.

So you probably have a bunch of extensions already installed. I can’t blame you. You want things to be easy and browsing effective. To help reduce your clutter, use the One Click Extensions. I have found this helpful especially when I want to turn off and on extensions that are helpful or in my way. That Honey one is nice but sometimes overbearing. With One Click, you find the extension you need for that particular website and can be very helpful in reducing clutter on your Chrome.

Let me know in the comments box if you used them or have other suggestions to increase productivity.
